Cascades of Time Garden is a floral sightseeing garden located in the heart of Banff. The garden, located at the south end of Banff Avenue, shares 12 acres of land in Banff’s national park.

The Cascades of Time Garden are a series of tiered floral beds with over 50,000 flowers. Historic stone pathways take you past colourful beds of blooms (June to September) and rustic gazebos, bridges and ponds. A perfect place for a family picnic! Admission is free with your national park entry fee.

A portion of the gardens is being redeveloped to bring water back to some of the cascading pools. Working with qualified conservation architects, Parks Canada has recently completed repairs to the lower Cambrian Pool and its smaller feeder pools. Integral to the historic design intent of the Cascades of Time Garden's is the geological sequence of "cascading" ponds and water courses that provide the garden's namesake. Work continues on repairs to the middle Devonian Pool this summer and plans are in the works to complete the upper Cretaceous Pool in the future. Parks Canada's dedicated grounds' staff maintain the Garden's 50,000+ plants and landscape features which will continue to provide visitors with a rich tapestry of colours in one the Park's favourite attractions. Continue enjoying these beautiful sites as there is still access to the upper cretaceous gardens.
