Encompassing gardens and heritage sites, in communities from Windsor and Put-In-Bay Ohio, through Niagara, to Toronto and Sacket’s Harbour, New York, the Binational Heritage Peace Garden Trail launches in 2012 commemorating 200 years of peace between Canada and the United States and the unique history we share. Free and open to the public year-round, this legacy garden trail begins with interpretation of the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 - through natural and built landscapes and cultural activities that tell the stories of these communities - and will continue to grow beyond 2014 to mark other anniversaries and binational events.

Summer’s here and Canada’s public gardens are at their best. You know you want to visit them yourself – who wouldn’t want to stroll through a beautiful park filled with flowers – but maybe you feel you’re so tied up with your children or grandchildren you just can’t get away. Well, there’s an easy solution to that: bring them along!
