Riel House features two produce gardens; the first is The Big Garden which is maintained by volunteers of the Union Nationale Metisse who when on site can share information about Métis cultivation techniques. The second is the Kitchen Garden planted entirely with heritage varieties from the year 1886. Tours of the gardens are included with site tours and are maintained by volunteers of the Manitoba Master Gardeners and Friends of Gardens Manitoba.
