The Mackenzie King Estate is a special place where you can spend the whole day enjoying nature. The Estate has recently undergone a makeover, and features new exhibits as well as activities for the whole family. With its picturesque gardens and romantic ruins, the 231-hectare (2.31 km2) country estate was once the cherished refuge of Canada’s longest-serving Prime Minister, William Lyon Mackenzie King. When he died, he bequeathed his estate to all Canadians. It now forms part of Gatineau Park, Canada’s Capital conservation park.
