University of Alberta Botanic Garden

The University of Alberta Botanic Garden is a stunning 240-acre property located minutes from Edmonton, with cultivated gardens, indoor showhouses, and extensive natural areas. Popular highlights of this “garden in a forest” include the Kurimoto Japanese Garden; exotic butterflies in the Tropical Showhouse; large herb, rose, peony, lilac, and lily collections, Sensory Garden, Native Peoples Garden, trial gardens and more. You’ll be amazed at the diversity of plants that can thrive in a northern climate. The Garden is an award-winning visitor attraction, open daily May 1 through Thanksgiving.
